BUDSTOCK 2010

I want to personally thank everyone that supported Budstock Sept 5 2010 at the Fort Pub in Langley BC. We had over 50 amazing musicians show up to play in memory of my father Bud Rogers. All of these musicians I have worked with at some point or another over the past 20+ years. I can’t thank them enough for their support and all my friends and family that showed up to enjoy the day. My dad would have loved it!! Special thanks to James Thorhaug, James Badger and Glenna Kelso of Kelso Kustoms for organizing the day.

The Fort Pub was packed with a good 200+ people from 2pm in the afternoon until midnight.

The event was such a success that everyone is talking about an annual event. This year was a fundraiser for my family to help during this time of loss. I think it would be great to make this an annual event and use it as a fundraiser for Paramedics or Fire Fighters. My dad was a fireman when I was a kid in Pitt Meadows. I have always respected the service these people give. The day my dad died I found a new respect for paramedics and fire fighters. My dad was at my house in my front room and there was about 10 medics and firemen trying to save my dad. That day I lost my dad but gained a HUGE respect for what these people do. I can’t thank them enough and would be honored to make Budstock into an annual event and help raise money to make the job easier for paramedics and firemen.

Stay Tuned! .. I think this is just the beginning of another great annual event!

Motown Meltdown – Commodore Ballroom Vancouver BC

Last Saturday was the Motown Meltdown. It was a blast, despite the fact I was a bit sick. There were many great artists on the show. Each artist sang 1 song. I did ‘Mercy, Mercy Me’ by Marvin Gaye. It was good to see some friends in the crowd, and some musicians I haven’t seen in awhile. I even ran into an agent I used to work with about 16 years ago! Rob Pattee from Feldman. It was good to see him again. Thanks to Kendra and all the folks at shooting stars foundation for a great show and a great time! Special thanks to David Sinclair for putting the music together.
